This beer takes its name from Merlin, the enigmatic wizard of Arthurian legend — a figure rooted in Celtic folklore and medieval romance. First appearing in early Welsh poetry as Myrddin, a prophetic madman of the woods, Merlin evolved through centuries of storytelling into the wise advisor to King Arthur.

It’s this rich tangle of legend, landscape, and lore that inspired the name Merlin’s Muddle — a nod to the magic, mystery, and occasional chaos of Cornwall’s most famous mythmaker. Merlin’s is a dark amber ale with notes of citrus and caramel, and a refreshing bitterness.
